Hydration Health - Fever Recovery

When body temperature rises above the norm, 98.6 Fahrenheit, you have a fever. Most fevers are caused by infection, and when your body feels like it is burning up, it becomes dehydrated. What your body is trying to do is kill the infection, in effect, bake it to death!

Some people think they should take a cold shower or bathe in ice. Not a good idea. You only make it harder on your body to get the temperature back up and this can be draining. To prevent or recover from dehydration, fluids need to be replaced.
